For this project I really wanted to connote a certain compelling atmosphere while still teaching people through content. With the dilemma of finding a word to choose for a project, I turned to music to listen to while doing other assignments when I came across an ambient piece by Boards of Canada called "Diving Station". I do not know if it was the title of the song that influenced my interpretation of the sound or the sound itself, but images of coastlines, waves, and the currents of bodies of water immediately came into my head. I then chose the word submerge, by virtue of the powerful music but also by the fact that I am doing my Research in Design report of coral reefs and climate change which I think would be some compelling content to display while evoking the sense of being submerged. The musical track is below this paragraph.

submerge |səbˈmərj|
